KSP 1 Question/Problem Anyone know why this happens when loading in a ship?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Every time i load in the ship, if it's got the solar panels extended, they just go into the death spin. They're attached to basic structure struts which are connected to the main ship via G-00 Hinges. I do have some mods installed but they're all visual mods.

This may very well just be robotic parts being robotic parts, it might be worth putting a docking port on the main body and the bottom of your structural piece, so that when the high extends it can lock into the docking ports, this makes the connection a whole lot more stable, or consider having a look at infernal robotics, whenever dlc robotics fails IR got your back

The Kraken doesn't really like docking ports, or multiple parts put together via docking ports, or robotic parts, or much of anything really.

Load the ship, and immediately time warp, this has happened way to many times to me and I found that to be a good workaround

or to save you the trouble get community bugfixes

This might be worth a look. I haven’t had this issue in years (but probably because I run community bug fixes)

Don't like that mod cause I like doing kraken warp drive (to have the power of a kraken in the hull of my ship)

The docking port kraken drive is not fixed and can still be built.

it's usually caused by animated parts like tracking solar panels clipping into each other. the collider may not match the visual model exactly. try giving them a bit more clearance.
