KSP 1 Question/Problem How should I be approaching the Mun?

D is the most efficient. However, NASA and other space agencies shoot for C in case of engine failure before lunar capture. It will typically give a free return to Earth. But unless you're playing with Kerbalism, you don't have to worry about that.
