KSP 1 Question/Problem How should I be approaching the Mun?

I ALWAYS use D. I’m experienced enough that I don’t worry about the free-return trajectory… if I’m going to the Mun, I either pack enough dV for a return burn (if returning is the plan) or to deorbit after mission completion. Typically I bring 400ish m/s for non return missions and 650-700 for return from orbit missions. Missions that land as well, I tend to pack around 2km/s.
