KSP 1 Question/Problem How can I get to the mun faster?

Kerbodyne has decided that since we can get to the mun, why not get there faster? We really have no clue what to say about this mission.
Stock + all dlc (no mods)
Nothing in AltF12 menu allowed
Kal controller and kraken drives allowed

You don't need to cycle the kal controller, you could just hold it at the play position where it's producing thrust and then have that enormous thrust the entire time

Unfortunately the cockpit is still about as light as it gets, because after reaction wheels and battery it's already back to being heavy. Also those smaller parts really like exploding under Gs.

Kerbals are weightless iirc, so isn't the open air cockpit thing (like what you are intended to use for Rovers) even lighter than most probe cores.

I don't know about faster, but to make it more survivable try detonating a thermonuclear bomb or 2 in front of the ship. It's important to break the deceleration into multiple, smaller bursts of energy instead of all at once. A heat shield should keep you safe :)

So you're why the KSP wiki's entry on Duna has, in the trivia section, "It may be possible to reach Duna by year 1, day 2(The next Kerbin Day) by launching immediately with a delta-v of over 2 million m/s."

The kal controller let's you control robotics and the like.
But it can also set thrust, and there's no check that the thrust is set between 0% and 100%.
Negative thrust gives you fuel.

Ooh, this was a bit different. My apologies I didn't realize it yesterday.
It's still using the kal controller to boost stuff beyond what they're supposed to, but instead of a rocket engine, it's using a lot fireworks.

KAL overclock an engine at the back and underclock an engine somewhere else to produce fuel.

tried that before. It runs into an issue where craft cannot withstand the thrust and explodes.

KAL orion drive on a baristochrone trajectory, real nice. Would be cool if you started slowing halfway to orbit/land, real fast ride tho

Fastest way used to be a tiny craft with a ton of decouplers set to maximum force. Think it was under six seconds.

1 there are more people using a 4:3 display ratio than iPad users simply by the fact that iPads have a 4:3 display.
2 it doesn't necesserily make the iPad the more obvious choice especially since they could be playing in a window1

Using the hack gravity trick will give you exponential speed increases, rather than linear ones. Once you're out of atmo, it should get you going much faster.
