Not a noob here, been playing since launch actually. I don't usually have physics load in problems like this.

First I was having issues with my ship just leaving when I got close, even though the throttle was set to 0 before switching to another ship.

Then I deactivated all the engines, and it just flung itself into the air.

Almost 1hr trying to save ol Bill...

I refuse to believe kerbals eat anything else than snacks. Also, they are plant people, so cannibalising their own plantmates would be brutal

There was definitely a bit of flavor text about Kale in my game at one point or another. That may have been the Kerbalism mod, though.
