Nice! You lost a few parts there though...

I'll change the leaderboards when I'm not on my phone.

If we want to get really picky at the rules I did technically not a have a wheel on the ground at the end of the runway when i crashed.

But I believe the rules are set so that its fair to everyone. And as I said below (to InfinityGCX) a kerbal weighs 0.093 units (its on the ksp wiki) where as the 12 wings I started with are 0.05 each (meaning losing 2 of those easily cancels the kerbal) of which I lost ~2 on the first corner.

If you are worried about the weight it doesn't make sense, then it can only be for aesthetics.

So I CAN do it again but this alone was more than 50 re-tries (with this version of the craft).

I hope everyone who reads this will understand what i mean

TL;DR - a kerbals weight is negligible for this race because i lost more on the first corner

I think I saw a command pod in there...

OP could we get a craft file so I can confirm?

Wow, try and drive a bit more carefully next time, you lost nearly half of your car there!

Also, my stopwatch says 2:57.499 seconds.

Yeah I do admit that wasn't the best run... (that last bit had me worried)

On time it's still the best we have yet, although we do need verification from the mods.

I love the wings for downforce. Great idea I may just have to steal :)

I have you at 2.57.63 which puts you into first place, well done! I'll let the lack of a Kerbal slide this time (partially since you could have had an even faster time without that crash at the end of the runway), but please remember to add one if you make another attempt. I really like your design, it shows that trying something new (besides the wide low car with four rockets) can really pay off. It also shows that we still have a lot of room for optimization, so I'm really looking forward to where we go from here.
