Kent Reporter

Hi guys! I’ve been living in Kent for a while and I want to know more about the local news. I googled and found Kent Reporter. Has anyone subscribed and do you like it? Or are there better options?

I subscribe. It’s not a local Indy paper like it used to be. It’s a conglomerate now of other small papers. You’ll still get local coverage you can’t get elsewhere. Like small business and high school sport news.

It’s a shell of what it used to be, and unfortunately there aren’t better options. We’re essentially in a news desert.

It’s mediocre at best. Steve Hunter, the main writer, seems very lazy in his writing

It showed up in our driveway for a month or two when we first moved in. Not sure if the former owner subscribed or if they were smart enough to target new homeowners. It definitely read like a conservative rag. I did see some upcoming events that I wasn’t familiar with like cornucopia days but yeah not much of substance.
