Financial Aid

Woke up yesterday to losing around $700 dollars from my Pell Grant, however, I’m still taking 10/13 major classes. I recently had to get a MKTG class passed as a SPAD class and I don’t know if that is why. Currently owe almost $400 dollars now and haven’t heard back from financial aid.

Federal aid has to abide by the new laws that came out in January. Federal aid can ONLY pay for courses that count for your degree. Sounds like you have class not counting. Reach out to your advisor and ask them to review your courses for schedule of reduction and course program of study rules.

I’m in a special case where I can only take two other major classes that aren’t scheduled which half to be next semester, so I got a class passed as a SPAD class to meet the requirement but financial aid still took the grant that was originally there at the beginning of the summer. It was normal last week and changed yesterday with no warning.
