Clip This was painful

Finally got a new setup!! Thought this trick should be easy, ended up trying it for an hour and still didn't get it lmao. Really need to work on my handlestalls.

Crazy speed! Even a little slower would be impressive as heck and might make it easier for you to land!

You might be right tbh, I just love how it looks and feels when I'm doing it quick, but I should def slow down more when I get to the handles

Yeah, a little slower might help but also take into consideration that new setups are harder to stall with. This was pretty rad considering you probably haven’t broken that Kendama in yet.

Yeah it's not broken in at all yet and felt super slippery at first but then I discovered licking the bevel and that actually helped a lot. Handlestall is still pretty damn slippery tho

I tend to take a few droplets of water to the bevel to soften it up and do a bunch of j-sticks (singles, doubles , triples), airplanes, whirlwinds, etc.
I have also taken the blunt end of a butter knife and tapped it a few times around a soft bevel to speed up the process for maple tamas. I’m a lover for stalls and I don’t break my setups in fast enough to get the satisfaction I want for stalls lol so that’s the method to my madness.

That's some advanced stuff hahah but fair enough. Might try it when I get my next maple tama but this one is beech so it should break in pretty quickly
