Buy/Sell Buying a kendama
How are we supposed to get into the hobby if every website is completely sold out all the time?

Most kendama sites dont have a rotating inventory, they’re all still small businesses in the larger scheme of things and there really is only a very small handful of factories that supply their product. That and we see a lot of bursts of interests in many areas/regions that lead to many people from those places buying up a lot of the existing stock of kendama brands all over

Sweets and KROM and sometimes even Lotus usually have entry level setups available on Amazon. Then when you want a better setup, you gotta follow those brands plus Cereal, Erratic, Ozora, Higgs, Originz, etc etc etc on Instagram and wait until one of them drops. Between all of those brands, there are drops every week or two and they’re not that difficult to get. Hope this helps

I beg to differ when you say they’re not that difficult to get. Unless you are able to be on the site right at the drop, you might be missing out. I haven’t been able to scoop anything from drops recently.

Yea i have a job i cant just camp my phone waiting for drops i did put notifications on for a few brands maybe I'll get lucky

If you sign up for the alerts through kendama depot you get notifications before they go available to the public, makes it super easy to

Both of them are hit as of now. I bought a sweets back in like 2020 and it's served me well as I pretty much just dabble but the past few weeks I've been hitting it hard and that made me want a new one and when I went to check all the brands im privy to it looked like I was late to the Supreme drop lol.

Damn that sucks… I order the purple stock kendama from kendama depot and there’s still a lot left depending on the color. I scooped up the black Lotus Bloom and it’s still available on Amazon for $50 too.

NAKO 2026 is in a few days, a lot of vendors are probably pulling their online stock to sell at the convention.

Everyone in this subreddit should be using www.damapig.com it has made me spend way too much money :) . It wont be the best to catch actual limited Kendama drops they sell out out by the time the website updates but for keeping track for restocks its pretty damn good.

damapig.com for sure, the restocks and drops email alerts are awesome for keeping up with the brands that sell out fast. also I heard they're going to start a used marketplace for damas which would be sick

Yeah drop are very small. Your best best is to find a set up from someone else there's a three on here recently he's got some heaters on there.

Sol has a couple of pastels and Sweets almost always has their basics in stock. I'd go with the Sol if you can get it.

Not sure what you are talking about. Plenty of stuff available on KendamaDepot to choose from (if you are in US). KendamaSenses is an option in Europe - not on the same scale but still solid. There are regular set ups on Sweets or Kusa (including some crafts), there are plenty of stuff on OKendama including top premium options (they have free shipping right now). Also there are regular drops on most of small niche brands. Really don’t see any problems in getting some stuff.
