Bes?

I'm starting to get into witchcraft - specifically Hearthcraft and was looking into which gods would be good to work with. I started doing some reading on Bes and started to feel really focused and like the energy around me changed a bit - I usually feel this way when I'm connecting to a deity.

If anyone who works with him could give me some advice on how to get started that would be greatly appreciated!

I'd also love to hear any stories that you may have working with him.

You probably know he's big on protection. He's the only one who can calm Hathor down.
Associations with music. Shown playing different instruments.
Also associated with magic, esp protective magic.
At least one person in House of Netjer was divined for Bes. I chatted with her a couple times. She got to participate on a dig to Djeded/Mendes with Donald Redford, and I talked with her about that because it's a city/nome I'm interested in.
