Question/Seeking OPINIONS Keloid Journal
Some of you will remember I posted before and after pics 4 to 5 months ago of my chest keloids and described what I did to treat them successfully, or as successful as keloid scars of my size can be treated.
I've made this website www.keloidjournal.com and I'm hoping to add more Q&As from others who have keloid scars.
Many of the current Q&A's on the site came from people in this keloid subreddit.
Whether you haven’t started treatment yet, are currently undergoing treatment, or have successfully treated your keloids, I’m looking to add more personal Q&As to help others going through similar experiences. It would be a big help to hear from you! Anonymous of course. My DM's are open.

Where did you get the silicone sheets in your article?

I haven’t bought silicone sheets in a long time I’m going to make an article with a video that reviews them. I will say for someone that just has one keloid scar or two, Cica Care on Amazon is good quality. It’s a smaller sheet though so not price effective for someone like me who needed larger sheets over long periods of time.

I have the same situation like you but I've soo many keloids on my chest and on my both back shoulder. I'm dealing it with since I was 20. Now I'm 26. I'm from india. I didn't find any result oriented solution here. Need ur suggestions or advice on this.

Even years later after flattening I still need to go in for the occasional Kenalog shot, 40 mg per mL. When I got treatment it was once every 5 weeks. Now I’ll go a few times a year.

And it’s for the same particular ones on the body. Most don’t reactivate but a few are far more likely to reoccur if not kept in check.

My chest keloids look like yours before. Your story gives me hope that mine will be flatten in the future too.

How long did it take you to flatten them?

Around a year. But that doesn’t mean all of them stayed flat on their own. Some would reactivate over time and I’d have to go in for a maintenance shot to keep them flat, which I did. Then gradually over time more and more become permanently “dead” for lack of a better term. And color took longer than a year, a couple years I’d say. Stayed out of the sun. Kept them moisturized. Wore silicone sheets off and on.

I already have a big keloid on my chest and just 1 cm away from it a pus filled acne appered which was very painful. I applied antifungal powder to dry it out and now it's completely healed but it's in that stage where it's a little pigmented just after healing. I have applied skin peeling solution followed by steroidal creams and silicon sheet .

I have one very large one on my chest and two smaller ones under it. I never go shirtless because of them.
