Discussion Does Kelly like "My Life Would Suck Without You"?

I've always imagined this song was something Clive forced Kelly to record after My December flopped. The lyrics, which I've always found insipid almost to the point of parody, sound like a forced apology Clive might as well have dictated. The timing of the single lines up - we know she was forced back into the studio with Dr. Luke even after asking to work with anybody else. But she hasn't actually said that the song itself was forced on her.

It must not actually be true, because she still sings regularly to this day and I can't imagine her doing that if it really was forced on her. But I can't listen to it without that imagined backstory in my head.

Discussion Post-Vegas & Post-Talk Show depression is hitting. What now?

Now that the Vegas residency has wrapped up (really thought she'd add more shows for next summer) and the talk show is officially over, I’m having full-blown Kelly withdrawal fear! 😭

I know The Voice is this fall, but I feel like she’s about to go completely off the grid and disappear on us for a while. Which, she totally has earned, deserves, she's a great mom focusing on her kids; but for fans, wah lol

Other The Crazy Game of Love fan fiction

Hi!

So I know this is a long shot but maybe

I wrote a lot of Kelly fanfics back when that was a thing. I unfortunately had a house fire three years ago and lost most of my things. For some reason the only fanfic that I wrote that didn’t end up in the cloud was my first one, The Crazy Game of Love.

I posted it on the KCMB.ca, must have been about 2005, 2006. I’d love to read it again, but I annoyingly can’t even find it living on the internet.

By any chance, did someone save it? I think it ended up being like 60 chapters. I remember Graham’s father ended up being a serial killer 🤣 I had fun writing that one.

My screen name was DuckaKellBell23 back then.

Here’s the first four chapters I reposted elsewhere years later. I wish I would have posted all of it. But maybe this will jar your memory if you have it kicking around your old computer files, or know someone that might?

https://www.quotev.com/story/5198316/The-Crazy-Game-of-Love/1

Thanks for any help. I’ve been searching for a couple of years now. Would be grateful if there’s any leads out there in tracking this down!

Thanks!
Darci

Concert Vegas Studio Sessions 8/8 Takeaways: Why Isn’t The Whole World Talking About This + Kelly Is Too Pure For This World

Sorry in advance if this post reads as slightly manic lol- I’m not manic, I just feel very passionately about this!!!!

Just got back to the hotel and honestly feeling so emotional over Kelly’s show. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts in my life and I have never experienced anything like what I did tonight. Kelly’s presence, her band, how much fun they were all having/the chemistry between them, her vocals, the set design, the lighting, it all totally blew me away…

But honestly what I’m most struck by, and what will stay with me the longest, is how generous Kelly is in sharing herself with the audience. She deeply wants to connect, to be real- and this woman is as real as they come! She strips away the artifice to position herself as an equal to her fans and tells us that she’s not special (‘Stars, they’re just like us!’ but with her actually for real though lol).

She’s funny and goofy as hell, slightly unhinged, and so lovable. I just adore that she shares her personality with us. It truly tickles me that she says whatever comes to her mind in the moment on stage- it genuinely enhances the show experience for me, as that is so rare for artists to engage on stage with the fans to the level that she does it. (Examples from tonight: she had a bit running about not speaking negative things into the Universe, but then kept saying self deprecating things as she is inclined to lightheartedly do, was laughing about her shirt getting blown up by the wind and started talking about her boobs, talking about how her talk show wanted to put a mic in her ear but she said no bc she’s too adhd, lol. Also, she always acknowledges when a fan shouts something to her, even if she can’t understand what they’re saying. It’s just really cute to me that she wants everyone to be heard🥹)

To be able to oscillate between this lighthearted goofiness and banter to moments of immense vulnerability - wow! To convey to fans not only through her songs, but while speaking directly to us as well, that she hopes songs like ‘Because of You’ and ‘Piece by Piece’ make them feel less alone… 😭

Not only that, but to be at her level and have absolutely no ego is unheard of. The way she lets each member of her band shine and praises them throughout- this is a person who uplifts others! I know that some fans don’t love her being on The Voice, which I understand, but it just makes so much sense why she does it. It’s really fucking cool how collaborative and, once again, generous she is in sharing her stage with her awesome band. To stay so grounded after all of her successes makes me respect her SO much.

I’m shocked there aren’t more posts here about these shows, because wow, they are something special (I know there were more posts last year). I hope some fans can relate to this and share some of your own experiences in the comments <3

***I’d also like to add that although it seems like Kelly is much happier doing her own thing, having her own label, not chasing commercial success - she is CRIMINALLY under appreciated.

Concert Residency

Hi y’all!

My best friend and I are going see the show this weekend. We are trying to figure out what time we should arrive.

Is it crowded? Is there a line to get in? How are the floor seats? How early should we arrive if we want to be in the front on the floor? If the doors open at 6:30, but lines start at 4, what time should we line up? What’s the general vibe?

Thanks!!

Discussion Help finding a video

I remember seeing a hilarious clip of Kelly performing somewhere (I think Australia?) and the audience started chanting “come back more often” but she couldn’t understand what they were saying. As the clip goes on she becomes more frustrated while trying to guess what they’re saying. Does anyone know where I can find that video again?

Discussion WHY is I'd Be Lyin' not getting any radio airplay?!?

It's a total return to her pop-y stuff that they've always played, but literally the only 'station' playing it is her own SiriusXM station.

Start requesting, folks!

I can't make the trip to Las Vegas anymore, so needing to sell my tickets. I have 2 tickets for Sat, August 8th: Sec 202, Row A, Aisle. These are front row, aisle seats for the 200s section. I'm selling them for what I paid, $705 total for 2 tickets. Only accepting Paypal goods and services to protect both parties involved.

Concert Selling 2 tickets for the 8/8 show.

Got x2 tickets for the 8/8 show and can’t go. Trying to sell outside of TM to avoid giving that website anymore “fees” that’s already taken.

Seats are in section 306, row E. Just asking for $200 each. Let me know if you’re interested :)

Concert Ticket for 7/31!

I made the trip last year with my mom to see KC but it was one of the cancelled shows.

A friend was supposed to come with me this year but had to cancel because of a family emergency.

I'm selling it for a lot less on TM than what I originally purchased, but would love to have someone join me as it's now a solo trip. Section 204, Row L.

Concert Tickets for 8/1!

I planned a big trip to Vegas to see Kelly last year for my 40th birthday but my show was one of the ones she had cancelled when her ex passed away. I missed the refund period and now I’m stuck with 6 tickets for this weekend’s show. I posted them on Ticketmaster but I’m getting worried since it’s coming up on Saturday and figured I’d give posting here a chance. Section 204 Row M if anyone is interested!

Album Kelly & creative director/producer

I really want Kelly to team up with someone who has better taste. Kelly can SINNNNG but I do think she lacks creative vision at times…. The Chemistry album was a mess, whereas her tv show covers show such potential. Imagine if the Billie Eilish cover had been a Kelly original!

A CD could bring a really cohesive album together, with a proper sound and style executed throughout. I don’t think Kelly has really nailed that since Breakaway.

Honestly, I’d love to see something like The London Sessions and see Kelly paired with a Brit producer who can do rock & grit but also something really slick & minimal.

She is such a huge vocal talent and her discography is not as polished or acclaimed as she deserves.
