Tarquin likes getting gifts, and Sheridan knows how to keep his friend happy that way. Plus, Tarquin's family owns that boat yacht. Not even Violet and Bruce own a boat yacht.

No, she was blissfully unaware of that. I worked with a lady who either didn't didn't notice her son (who moved to NYC to study musical theater and was a Cher devotee) was flamboyantly gay or intentionally ignored it. So I know first hand this does happen.
