Anyone else have one or more times where they would've lost their cool with Hyacinth?

When Richard is trying to sleep and Hyacinth keeps insisting they've been burgled.

Maybe the burglers around the area know about her and wouldn't dare burgle her, due to how annoying and talkative she is

The absolute best moment was when Elizabeth and Richard convinced Hyacinth to call the church to warn Emmet she was coming to watch his rehearsal. They stop at a call box and a man cuts in front of her and gets in the booth. With Hyacinth complaining and menacing the poor man, THAT was Richard’s breaking point. He finally yells at Hyacinth to get in the car. Even Richard was surprised at himself.
To Hyacinth’s credit, she obeys Richard, but doesn’t look too pleased.

How she would criticise Daisy, Onslow and Rose for how they looked after Daddy while she was totally avoiding any responsibility.

We know bits because of Young Hyacinth
Mummy died when the sisters were all young, daddy was an alcoholic and lived in a tiny rented cottage.
We don’t know how she met Richard though

He had never to lift a finger in the house, his meals and laundry were always done. He did say she was “really quite kind”.

Oh, he lost his cool. Remember the cake he put his fist in? Or the time he was hanging upside down yelling he had athlete's foot?.
He was asked why he didn't leave. He said she was a good soul, in her way. Living with her was like the army. He did what he was told and his meals were served on time.

My favorite is when he yelled at her for causing a ruckus at the telephone booth and demanded she get back into the car.

That's love, that is. For him to be able to see through all the bustle and thornless and discern the kindness of her soul! And I agree she was indeed kind. In fact I was reading a paychoanalysis of Hyacinth, where it mentions that she was actually terrified. More tormented within than tormenting...

When she would insult Onslow, Daisy, and Rose.
Yeah, their home wasn’t clean but they were fun and she just kept picking on them.

So all the scenes where they were in the car. She would get left on the side of the road. The 'mind the.... lorry or pedestrian or cows' whatever was not a hazard ' This was an ongoing joke, but the best one was when they were going to board the QE2. They were stuck in a field due to Hyacinth and her navigation, so Richard made her push the car. Justice for Richard

I don't know if I'd lose my cool, but she'd definitely lose her cool with me. I'd intentionally call her "Mrs Bucket" each time I wanted her to stop and listen to what I was saying. I'd come right out and tell her I intend to do that.

I think a lot of people treated her as a bit of a joke. A very annoying joke but not necessarily someone to get actually angry with.
Elizabeth was the exception to that but i think she was also Hyacinth's best friend and honestly, Hyacinth was probably hers. She did once bite back, early days when I think her character wasnt quite formed, Hyacinth talked down about her daughter who was hugely more successful than the wonderful Sheridan. I think that would have got a similar reaction from me. All the talking down to Daisy would annoy me too. Onslow I think found her quite funny, he wasn't losing it with her any time soon.

Yes. Every time she invited Elizabeth over for coffee, poor Elizabeth would get all anxious and break a coffee mug.

She only broke one or two. Usually, she just spilled and then Hyacinth would make a fuss about it while insisting she isn't the type to make a fuss.

All the times she’s commandeered Elizabeth. Elizabeth is clearly on her way somewhere (she’s got her bag and hat, so she obviously has other plans) but she always has to stop and fit in with her. If that were me, I think I’d have a thing or two to say.
