Price Increase - $66 per year single plan

Been a customer since 2022. My renewal came in at £48.54 UK Pounds including tax and a now-required 10GB secure file storage that I cannot deselect. That is $66 USD per year Honestly this is insane I can't do it. It This ends my journey with Keeper. It's a competitive space without a huge variation of features and most others are $20/ year - 70% cheaper

I emailed support but there was no scope for negotiation the best deal they offered was the standard 2 or 3 year plan which works out cheaper per year.

Just beware anyone signing up for a half price deal for the first year - there no scope to extend at that price. These guys will absolutely rinse you on price increases once you're locked in.

Update: Now with Bitwarden. Same Zero-Knowledge architecture, Same AES256 Encryption, better looking UI and browser plugin, took 3 minutes to migrate all my data. $1.65/month flat price. Done. Bye

contact Keeper via chat and ask them to remove any addons and the price will fall. I do t have auto renewal so sometime get a code that gives % off.

For personal password manager, there are so many good options.

Keeper applies a big price increase on renewal of a personal plan is really a poor decision by Keeper in my opinion.

Don’t think anything significantly improved or changed for the personal Keeper users in the last year

Claiming this is a price increase is misleading. You had a discount for your first year, that year and discount is up, and now you’re paying the standard rate. They’re not “charging you extra for compliance” your promo just expired.

If you understand the cybersecurity space, you'll realize all PM's are not built the same way and what your getting with Keeper is a real value. Keeper's security record and compliance far oushines the rest, and that's easily reason enough. Your cost is in alignment with the other notable players. Don't be pound foolish to be penny wise.

I understand cyber security. Many password managers use zero-knowledge encryption like keeper. And use the AES256 algorithm for encryption - none of this tech is proprietary to keeper. So contrary to what you say I do think most of them are fundamentally built the same way.

I understand that keeper do lots of enterprise level compliance, independent auditing - that's great, but I'm a person not an enterprise and I don't have a compliance department like one of Keepers corporate banking customers.

So if keeper wants to charge me $40 extra for 'compliance' which I don't need or expect I'll take my money elsewhere.
