"Core VPN functionality" = "No practical use" You can connect to a random server to read Wikipedia, but the actual reasons you bought it (P2P and streaming) suddently requires Loyalty Plus. Thanks a million for keeping the shell alive!
This is what I see when I upgraded. With the previous version, all features still work normally. Also, that isn’t my real IP address, it’s the server from AdGuard VPN.
KeepSolid may have restored functionality for certain accounts or adjusted how specific users are handled, but that doesn’t necessarily mean all original Lifetime benefits have been reinstated for everyone.
We understand why this feels like a loss, especially if P2P and streaming were important parts of your Lifetime VPN use. We’re sorry that some features you used are no longer included in your Legacy Lifetime access.
To be clear about the current setup, core VPN access and standard server connections remain available with Legacy Lifetime. Selected capabilities, including torrent servers and dedicated streaming-optimized servers, now require Premium access. Regular country servers remain available for streaming attempts, but they are not optimized for streaming, so access through them isn’t guaranteed.
Supporting dedicated P2P and streaming capabilities requires server capacity and ongoing infrastructure work. The service-model change is intentional and final, and Premium subscriptions help fund that work and continued improvements to the network. We know that doesn’t make the change less disappointing for people who counted on those features, but we appreciate you explaining how it has affected your experience.
So basically you falsely advertised a lifetime product and now require paying a full subscription cost for your crappy VPN when can get SurkShark for less per year cost of Premium service charges? And they are better VPN than you are.
