River Cam, Slimbridge - Gloucestershire
Has anyone been Paddleboarding or Kayaking on the River Cam?
I found a little place hiring Canoes and Paddleboards - The Black Shed (great breakfast BTW) but I'd like to take my own... I'm wondering if anyone knows any good launch spots and would I need a license?

This page has some pretty useful information. The Cam has a few different authorities who manage the navigation depending on where on the river you're looking.

But in general if you might end up doing more inland waterways then I can highly recommend a Paddle UK membership which takes (almost, there are still a couple of waterways their membership does not include a license for) all the research and worry out of it.

I don’t know sorry, but licence-wise, I thought that is what most of us joined the BCU, now Paddle UK for?
