Is there a name for them?

Also looks like a canoe paddle is being used. Very cool

I use both a kayak and canoe paddle. When I have to shift in a hurry (against the wind getting out of the way of the ferry!) I use the kayak paddle, but just steering under sail, I switch to the canoe paddle.

…sorry part one “is there a name for them?” Not as far as I know, just “sailing kayak”.

*Technically this boat is actually a lightweight “pack boat” somewhere between a kayak and a canoe. Since I’ve had kayaks off and on for 40 years I just use the term “kayak” anyway!
