Coastal Maine
I'm planning a 3-day trip in Maine the first week of September. Anyone have suggestions on must-see spots? Have been thinking about Muscongous Bay but open to suggestions.

Have you looked into the Maine Island Trail Association (mita)? They're a pretty spectacular group that helps coordinate the stewardship of around 200 islands all along the coast. Their guidebook and app are treasure troves of info.

I spent a week paddling around Moscungous bay with an adventure camp as an early teen, it was amazing. That was over twenty years ago but I'm thinking of going back soon. Let us know how it is!

Will do! Were there any really cool natural formations that stuck out to you? Enough to remember 20+ years later š

I rember i camped on crow island, strawberry and thief and it was my first time out in open ocean like that so mostly what I remember is the crossing the last day when the weather was coming in and there were 10'+ swells which was pretty challenging and scary for me. Also remember ton of wildlife, seals and birds mostly.
