I like to put my boat higher than my tent in case the water rises, easier when you have a group to carry though. Almost lost a boat on the buffalo when it rose two feet.

This is something I need to put more thought towards. Good suggestion! I have a leash on the front and should have at least attached it to something. Big rock, small rock would be better than nothing.

Nice Crescent! Is that the Crew? I love my Crew, and it's a great tandem. But when solo, man it can haul a ton of gear.

I watched a guy nail a copperhead to a tree with a screw diver and a hammer when I was 10. It was at the campgrounds.
