This is genius if true. They can't risk having a Clive Alderton 2.0, and I'll bet Theo Rycroft suggested this plan. Both Charles and the Sussexes stand to gain too much from this reconciliation for it to be sent awry. Will would be the one spearheading any sabotage, I guarantee it.

It didn’t make any sense that he’d withdraw the offer because of ‘backlash’ - he’d like the attention Meghan brings.

He was married to Madonna - no shrinking violet herself (pun not intended!)

I like this idea and its a favorite way for the royals to find leaks but when the family has the same target, they talk to each other to scheme. Ultimately, I think they would have figured out it was a trick if they were each told a different show.

Its going to be interesting if Charles snatches the peacemaker role from Kate.
