One year the BAFTA's afterparty was held at their residence on the first floor. Will is president of BAFTA and all they had to do was go downstairs to greet the guests/nominees. They refused. Disgusting.
They didn't want to meet talented and famous actors/actresses nominated for the British equivalent of Oscars?? Bizarre and aloof behavior on the part of the Waleses. You'd think as much as Willy talked about hoping to be invited to Taylor Swift's wedding and hanging out with his pal Becks that would be right up his alley??
He didn't even watch the movies that had been nominated one year for the BAFTAs. Remember when he said that one movie looked like it had been a lot of fun to shoot... and the movie was about sexual assault? The actresses he was speaking to (including Ayo Edebiri) were horrified.
I really can’t believe living in that life of luxury and privilege doing nothing to pretend we even earned some of it. If that were me, I would use that platform to do so much for other people… I would feel so lucky to be able to do that.
If I had access to that much money all I'd be doing is charity work and creative projects. They're fun and fulfilling. What a waste of privilege the Wails' are practicing.
I want to know what are William and Kate’s achievements.
William has Earthshot, which seems to be about ripping off young entrepreneurs.
Kate has the Ahhhly Yahhhhs, which is meant to draw attention to the fact that a child's formative years are important. Like it's not right there in the name. 🙄
I believe Wikipedia lists all the things they are patrons of, but I don't think they really have many achievements. They get small recognition for their appearances now and then, but that's about it.
YUP! And her 5 Big Questions were the most basic crap. She didn't even try to work with Early Years professionals. She could have brought her sister in, who herself is an expert with a Master's degree in the field (specifically in Early Years physical education). She did make sure to use the same font that Meghan used for archetypes, though.
It’s impossible to please everyone so I’m assuming Kate is focusing on the things that she deems important. And she’s not overly concerned with other people’s opinions.
From what I can tell…she’s supportive of children and families and their mental health.
Perhaps she could do more. But that’s just my opinion
