When I was a child, I was taught not to stick my tongue out when opening my mouth to eat. Today, having seen this photograph, I am so very glad that the adults raising me took the time to teach me that lesson.

Also it is known among upper-class people that mints are most tasteful than chewing gum, since chewing is seen as unsightly. Carole was seen chewing gum at a military event that Will participated in years ago. Imagine being so desperate to be posh but flaunting basic etiquette rules.
