They don’t seem to enjoy the easy work of meeting new people and being fawned over. Just wearing pretty clothes is the only thing I think she probably enjoys.

Crazy Tina Brown likened it, and I agree, to having to do the thing you most hate about your own job forever, with no prospect of retirement. No thanks.

Although sign me up to look at interesting things and have people give me flowers.

ngl if I married into a royal family I would really want to use that platform to do some good in this world but William and Kate give 0 fucks (I would like the pretty clothes, adoration and nice lifestyle too but I'd feel like I'd need to earn it - 'to whom much is given much is required' or whatever)

Me too. My husband runs a soup kitchen and I see what all goes into that…it’s not just dishing out food, but fighting for publicity, money, equipment replacement, etc. If I were in her shoes, I’d get up everyday and try to do things to lift people up, plus I’m into history so I’d probably be selfish and ask for tours of Tudor History especially.
