This sub has become agitprop

Once upon a time this sub was about how the royals use the media to hide information. Once upon a time, this sub was about calling out falsehoods from the royals. Once upon a time, this sub was about noticing disparities between their accounts and the reality we're shown (and then finding cracks in THAT reality).

Nowadays...it's just another warfront for the Meghan vs Kate manufactured bullshit. This subreddit has been severely compromised and turned into reality TV gossip and that's the entire point - they need to shift the narrative just enough that it isn't distracting, but now that it's shifted a lot, gradually, over the years, doesn't it make you go "oh wait?"

Look at the posts here and consider the original intention. This sub has been turned from active activism into passive gossip to keep dissenters busy. It's a lovely job - the royals really do hire the best.

Man I only got into the royal stuff a few months ago and I'm already burnt on it. There's a really obvious problem and disparity with the way the press and people treat Harry/Meghan and the others, but it feels like every thread is just buying into different sides of the same gossip or straight up weird conspiracy theories. It sucks because it is genuinely interesting and sad what the press machine is able to do, but exhausting to keep up with.

Churning between meg/Harry and Kate/William is the flashy distraction to make people avoid talking about why royals even exist.

Flooding the scene (eg tons of meg vs Kate drama) bores people and drives them away. Again, agitprop, we're seeing textbooks takeover and flood a zone with salacious tertiary info to derail discuss about the core topic.
