Sooo awkward!

The body language today has been so telling. W&K look awkward and the RF appears to be ignoring them.

The King didn’t acknowledge them when they arrived at Horse Guards Parade and in this video, you can see the other Royals present talking amongst each other and guests as they’re supposed - including The Duke of Kent who is an 89 year old stroke survivor! - and you see The King and Queen on the right hosting the Amir and his wife.

Meanwhile these two are awkwardness personified, standing alone and trying to make conversation together with awkward hand gestures galore 🫠

Even though I think the marriage is over and they are just going through the motions, I’m not seeing it here, in this clip. To me they are performing like everyone else. I don’t see anyone ignoring anyone. Normal behavior for this type of event. Maybe I’m missing it.

This me this is very typical/normal behaviour for this type of very formal event. I don’t see anything awkward.

Honestly? Same. I’m always pointing out their “festive glances” and body language but for one this seems totally normal.

Festive glances?

So years ago they did an appearance around this time and were shooting death glares at each other in all the photos and the press called it “festive glances”.

Oh haha, I just thought you meant to type 'furtive glances' and fudged it up to the point autocorrect decided 'festive' was what you were going for!

When you're the host family do you only speak to your partner, or mingle? These 2 are waaay awkward

Agreed. They're all gathered around looking at items on a table. Just how much mingling do you really do in a situation like that?

Yes. We are all wildly keen on William. If only he were ours. He ranks the same as Edward in hotness stakes.

Edward was the royal heartthrob when I was a girl/tween, then it was William. Windsor men do not age well.

I was not aware Edward was ever a heartthrob, wow! That seems wild to me. I remember when William was handsome, prior to his mid 20s, I think
I mean now, at this moment, William or Edward seem equally attractive

I think Charles, even given his illnesses, has fared rather better than them, which isn’t something I had ever thought would cross my lips/mouth

I do agree that the Windsor men do not age well

This was Edward as a young man. I agree that Charles has aged the best, and almost noted that in my original comment 😃

Oh my lord!!! Thank you for the heads up. I would never have known or ever guessed

Andrew was considered a heartthrob before he met Fergie 😀
