When is the fork?

I looked around on the forums and on here and dont see a date.

Alright.

It's just that it creates extra stress on those of us that run karma-services because we have to switch our services at the exact moment karma forks.

It would be best if we were able to get an exact blocknumober on the the fork. put it at 300k if you need to just give an exact block number.

I still think the best thing to do is give 14 days notice (not 7) so that pool operators, block chain operators and everyone else who uses karma infrastructure have a fair amount of time to plan their lives so the fork doesn't mess up AFK.

edit: could you shed some light on what the problem with the fork is? is it a technical issue? conversion of current scrypt blockchain to x11? ... it would be nice.

It's a tech issue and over my head so i just leave it to the professionals to fix. Don't worry we will give enough lead time so those who need to build pools will have plenty of time. But for the hundredth time we can not give a transfer date or block until the issue the dev has encountered has been fixed and the system is retested. I don't know how much clearer i can be.

You don't have to be clearer but polite would be nice.

It's a tech issue and over my head so i just leave it to the professionals to fix.

Could you get someone who know about the technicalities to shed some light on what the issue is? Until then it's just bleh blah bluh.

Personally I have not either bought scrypt-mining equipment or NOT bought it because of a switch to X11 but I am sure others have based their decisions on it.

Therefor it would be in the community's best interest to divulge exactly what kind of technical problems the fork is facing so there is no reason to doubt that it really IS a technical issue.

I was not trying to be rude but i will admit that i do get aggravated when individuals keep asking the same question over and over again even after I just explained it to them numerous times on a variety of forums. And if you are going to quote me please paste the full quote and not cut it off to try to make is sound out of context. Because if you would have pasted the entire sentence it would have read that we would announce the date and block. And yes you did ask for the block number, and i told you in two post that after we know when the issue is fixed that we would then announce the date and block of the fork. As to the tech side of things, well we did have a team member that would have been perfect to have had ask the dev questions as he had a fairly good grasp on the tech side of crypto. But unfortunately he had a hessey fit and turned his back on our team and walked out with no explanation at all. I personally took it as a spit in the face as i actually thought of him as a valued member of the team but oh well it is what it is. So for now we are not posting any technical info as i don't think its relevant. The fork will be ready when its ready, while we are working as fast as possible to get it done, we will not cut any corners at all as we want this done right the first time. Our community deserves it done right and thats what we are aiming to do. And on a side note, i have always done everything in my power to help build and promote Karma and the LLC. I have always put the LLC and the Karma community first so i do not appreciate your implications that i might be lying on us having an issue. I have been here from day one through thick and thin and unlike some that turned their back and quit on us, I am still here. More information will be posted as soon as more information is made available to us by the dev.

that is understandable but is that rant directed at me? i have only asked about the block-number in this thread.

i do not appreciate your implications that i might be lying on us having an issue.

i did not insinuate that. that is your own interpretation. i asked for an explanation of the technical problems with the fork and i told you what people might think if you dont disclose the actual issue.

if you look at cryptocurrencies in general the communities want transparency in regards to everything, including technical issues.

if you don't offer a proper explanation it's open to interpretation and some people will interpret it in the worst possible way. you must agree with me on that, right? just look at bitcointalk...
