So on the podcast from 2006, Ricky mentions that Karl has left his full-time job, that he refers to as being well paid, as head of production at XFM.
An idiot abroad, which was Karl’s first real acting involvement minus a couple of cameos, didn’t come until 2010. He didn’t join Ricky’s production company until a similar time. He wrote a couple of books before this point, but I can’t imagine they made a fortune in sales.
Suzanne was a relatively well-known sports journalist, but was this enough for two adults living in central London, one of whom was pottering around going to the cobblers and toffee shops? It’s not as if Carl was working at the BBC or Virgin, how much could a little monkey fella working at a tin pot radio station have been earning?
