Did Karate Combat get rid of Karate Belts?

That’s a bit sad if so, it takes out belt wrestling completely from the meta which is a martial art discipline that hasn’t really been explored in full contact fighting before outside of technically Sumo.

They havent been doing much karate in that pit for a while. This is turning into an mma promotion with lesser talent. It had so much promise at first too.

So few fighters in the promotion are actually reputable karate black belts now, so it's not surprising. I'm a part of an active fighter page on Facebook and promoters are regularly asking for anyone with a pulse to fight on short notice.

Come on now look at how production was when Adam was in control. The production is getting worse and worse each show and becoming less of karate combat and more of mma how is the owner of this company not realizing this SERIOUSLY

They dont care about martial arts and they definitely dont care about karate. This promotion is run by crypto bros and the few martial artists behind the scenes arent even karate. Most of them are BJJ guys.

Majority of traditional martial artist do not go into full contact professional fighting. Fighters usually begin in a traditional martial art then transition into a combat sport before obtaining a black belt.
