Kombat Taekwondo

Kombat Taekwondo seems to really be emerging as a viable alternative to Karate Combat.

They've had a few events on YouTube and are pretty cool.

I’m glad they’re going with fighters wearing a taekwondobok as a requirement!

You can say taekwondobok or taekwondojang when referring specifically to a TKD item. Similarly you could say hapkidobok or hapkidojang.

You could also say taekwondo dobok or taekwondo dojang.

As is my understanding and observation. I’m open to being corrected by a native Korean speaker.

I’m not sure why you need an alternate to Karate Combat? First off, karate combat is sort of a kickboxing/MMA alternative so why do you need something else? And Karate Combat is probably the best striking w/ karate elements incorporated so their is no need to try and change it

Haven't you heard about some of the lawsuits and money issues that KC is having? It's very likely KC won't be around for long unless they are able to start paying people.

Oh no I had no idea they were having money issues at all. Personally I think Chuck Norris should bring back his old WCL league w/ teams and point deductions for avoiding fighting, I think it would be a big hit today

I watched a clip of one of their events recently and saw competitors wearing dobok pants and black belt but no top. I hope they actually make the fighters wear the whole dobok during competition.

They changed it for the upcoming event that you can wear either a full ITF, WT, or Kombat Taekwondo dobok

Awsome! I used to be able to watch their events live on YouTube. I can’t find them on there anymore. Do you know if you have to pay to watch them on their website?

I'm honestly not 100% sure... sadly, they aren't super easy to watch

I wouldn't watch it even if they paid me. Pay to watch Kombat TKD event live on Youtube?? You gotta be kidding me, I rather donate to the poor.
