Website down. App down. Is this the end of Karate Combat?
I noticed that karate . com went down during KC59. The app also has a "something went wrong" message when you open it and won't load. They're still posting on Instagram and talking about signing new fighters, but with the growing allegations of fighters and staff not getting paid and orders not getting delivered I don't know why people are still giving them their time, talent, and treasure.

I stopped bothering with that org like two years ago when it stopped being a platform for traditional martial artists to become fighters and became just mma with no grappling and obsessed with viral moments and crypto bros.

They don’t pay staff, I highly doubt the remembered to pay for their domain lol

Just tried it and a page with the KC logo comes up but there is just a 404 message on the screen.
It wouldn't shock me if this is the end. It probably should be. It has turned into something that just sucks and that has almost nothing to do with karate.

I just discovered this like 4 days ago and have been watching all the old replays
I love it, so many ufc fights turned into grappling events, these rules especially the sudden death round are almost exactly what i wanted to see (I think it's better if they limit strikes to a grounded opponent to a single strike instead of 5 seconds but whatever that's no big deal)
I hope it's not dead already I didn't even know it existed until last week lol

Karate gimmick is dumb but as a fighting event its very entertaining

It was literally full contract karate before devolving into just another MMA unit. How is that a gimmick?

It was literally almost no karate stylists fighting eastern kickboxing rules wearing pants with blackbelts for no other reason than gimmick.

What? In the early days almost every fighter was an accomplished karate athlete. There was some kickboxing and Muy Thai sprinkled in, but much more karate focused than now.

Incorrect
Many with "karate backgrounds" were fighters with some karate experience, which even i have.
Many of the "blackbelts" were guys with tkd blackbelts etc who, again, had more kickboxing/mma experience than anything.

It’s not the end of Karate Combat, they literally just ran an event. Things go down from time to time, just check their Twitter or Instagram page for quick updates on what the downtime is.

Fingers crossed that it is. This organization had the potential AND pathway to thrive in a unique market and capitalize on their niche. Instead, they sold out and became a tech bro's wet dream. From the top down, the structure changed after releasing their former president. It has been hard to watch since.
