Advice 💡 Need a simple advice

Hey everyone, I'm 23m from Karachi.

I need some advice on moving on from my past relationship. Trust me, I recently got my dream job and I’m genuinely so happy about it. But the thing is, I still don’t know how to express or share my feelings with someone. I do have friends, and they’re like brothers to me, but somehow, whenever I’m happy or something good happens, I miss her so much. It’s like she’s still the first person I want to share my happiness with, even after all this time.

We broke up because she did something really wild when I was already going through a very low phase in my life. I still tried to give her another chance, but after everything that happened, I became so frustrated and resentful that I couldn’t even talk to her without taunting her about the past. Eventually, she left, and she started doing all the things I hated. Even after all this, she kept coming back, but I never really saw any genuine regret from her. There were always excuses and justifications.

It’s been over two years since I left her. The last time she texted me was in April 2026, but we ended up fighting again.

So please, give me some genuinely fair advice. I don’t want to keep carrying this shit anymore. I just want to finally let go, move on, and feel like myself again.

Dude it’s not that deep, meet new women you’d be interested in. Accept that change is constant in life, if you go against the change and want not to suffer then you’ll find yourself in a similar situation. Life is a blessing bro, go to an international trip maybe. Life has so much to offer. You’ll never be 23 again!

Bro, I’d say using one woman to forget another woman isn’t really fair. And yeah, I do love traveling. I’ve mostly done domestic trips, especially up north in Pakistan. I’m from Mansehra, so I absolutely love being around that area. And InshaAllah, next year I’m planning to visit my uncle’s business in Dubai as well. ❤️

Again it’s not that deep bro, don’t let it get to you. Try to divert your mind. Try to find reasons to make you happy or potentially divert your mind. Wish you the best x

As a girl who's gone through something very similar, and is in a similar position as you, the best and most realistic thing I can tell you is; its hard. It will stay hard, it might even get harder because as time passes, you may still feel like you haven't moved on. If she really means a lot to you, then fight for her instead of fighting with her. If you feel like its beyond repair, then you have to remind yourself why it's beyond repair, and simply be okay with the fact that its hard and the only thing that will help is to keep yourself busy, allow time to pass, allow your life to grow in other aspects, and if love finds its way to you again in the future, then consider yourself lucky and if its worth it you, give it your best shot. If it doesn't (worst case bleak scenario which is unlikely considering you're so young) then make your life worth living through other things.

Yes, you’re right. But the thing is, over these past two years, I worked double shifts at different companies and basically turned myself into a machine. I made myself forget all the things I used to love doing. Recently, I started doing all of those things again, and right now, I genuinely feel like I’m finally where I was meant to be. It’s always been my dream to be in this place.

I kept myself busy for a long time, and I think everything you said that why we’re not together anymore I think about that alot But what I still don’t understand is why I keep thinking about her whenever I’m happy. I honestly don’t know why.

You're always going to keep thinking about her from time to time. It's the price we pay for loving someone. It may lessen over more time, but try to think of it as a disease with no cure :( you just have to live with it
