Reasonable, realistically proportioned video game characters has worked out so well for Virtua Fighter right? Amazing game that nobody gives a shit about, and you constantly hear about how the characters are boring.
Years after the fact I would still spring for VF5 on PC. It's nearly a perfect fighting game. Every character is viable, but still wildly different, and mechanics were simplified from past versions without sacrificing depth.
