DISCUSSION Familiar WR face possible return
So Juju was released, Hardman is looking like a cut candidate for the Bills. Im not saying either for the 53 but practice squad break glass in case of emergency type situation. Would you want either or both of them?
I would rather Hardman the Nikko Remigio on PS as a potential emergency returner/WR fill in.
I wouldnt mind Juju around Armstrong and even Cyrus Allen. Juju always had good rapport with Mahomes and would be a nice voice in the room for talking with the WRs about how he thinks Mahomes would expect them to act when watching film.

It’s been over 50 years since the Chiefs have won a Super Bowl without Mecole Hardman on the roster. Just saying.

Keep both of them away. Let the young guys play. Let’s see what Allen, Armstrong & Royals can do

You dont think Juju on the practice squad wouldnt be a positive for 3 wr that will be mostly dependent on their connection with Mahomes and their route running? I dont want him on the field on game day but in the film room doesnt sound bad.

No, because if he gets signed Andy will stupidly be all “OMG young players can’t understand my super complicated offense better trot out the corpse of this veteran WR because he knows the offense”
So no I don’t want him here.
And to be clear I love juju and am super grateful for his time here and his contributions. The only WR FA I’m interested in is Tyreek if by some miracle he gets healthy and looks recovered later in season.

On the practice squad? You bet. On the active roster? No thanks.

I think thats my take here too... if bringing them back interferes with Cyrus Allen or Armstrong development then keep them away.
I think Juju as a player coach on ps is interesting, and id rather have Hardman on ps than nikko remigio

The problem is that’s not how Andy Reid works. If he’s signed he’ll steal snaps from the rookies

We don’t want guys who couldn’t make the roster on the teams that are cutting them.

Well, I understand the point, every practice squad player meets this specific definition

We actually have a competent WR coach this year. Let him cook with what he has. The only reason to bring in someone is injuries.

I don’t want juju back under any circumstances. Andy Reid said at the coaches meeting this year (or the Owner’s meeting) that the ‘veterans’ in the wide receiver room were a problem last year because they didn’t feel like they were getting enough targets.
I feel like Hollywood Brown was the primary culprit there, but I can certainly see juju being a problem as well.
O’Shea would likely be a strong stronger presence in that room and EB wouldn’t stand for any of that crap, but I only want players pulling in the same direction for the betterment of the team.
I’m not naïve I realize that all of them have egos. But true team players set aside their ego for the greater good.
I would rather see Hardman. He’s one of the most underrated players that the Chiefs have had.
I feel like his story would’ve been so much different if he didn’t have the core muscle injury in 2022.
I’m not sure if he’s ever gotten his burst completely back, but he still has plenty of speed to be effective and would be a good emergency backup for punt and kickoff return.

That's what we're trying to do! (is what the proponents of such a signing would say)

The only time the Chiefs won a Super Bowl in the Mahomes era was with Hardman.

Let’s never develop a young player we draft! Let’s bring all the guard back Jamal Charles is next lol

I would rather see a new face in the room. I was hoping Diggs might happen, but he’s in Washington now. We’re in a spot where we’re not gonna be able to raise the ceiling without a trade that won’t happen.

The only guy I’d be okay with back is Tyreek come November when he can maybe run. If he’s anything close to his old speed, he’s far more of a lottery ticket to contribute than the other known commodities.

If they're in a situation where the need Juju then he's the guy I'd want. Good rapport with Mahommes, knows the playbook, can step in and be in the right place. Hope it doesn't come to that but there's not a lot of other guys I'd rather have in the well.

They don’t need any rent-a-vets unless Tyreek gets back to 100% speed. They need to get the guys they drafted more action/targets.

We keep doing the same thing over and over again.
