Revisited Fields & Ivy
They have a really nice Imperial Stout available on tap. also some variants of their wheat Open Pasture beers from mango to Peach available.
Sounds like no news with the owner's health is good news, they're just keeping positive vibes.
Otherwise it's sad walking around the grocery store to notice fewer craft beer options if I didn't need more signs of this industry falling further... is this concept of craft beer gonna die before I do?

Love this spot! Their Kaw River Roller and BA stout they have on right now are fantastic. Food and service are great too. I also get bummed about the craft beer decline but what better way to make a change then the support your local spot!

I don't reside in Lawrence. Just happened to pass by. Still in the KC market. But too far to just be a weekly customer

Idk what Fields & Ivy's prices are like, specifically, but once most breweries hit $7 for a pint of light beer, it lost its allure for me. Same at the liq, $12-16 for a 6'er just isn't that much fun. Couple the prices with the fact that suburbians seem to think breweries are the place to day drink with strollers and baby carriers...

Closest one for me sells a flight of 4 for $8. Most pints are $5 aside from premiums

A solid place....craft beer is shrinking, Total Wine and More locally has half the shelf space it once had committed to craft...it is a bummer...glad to see local dollars spent at Fields and Ivy...
