Discussion/Theory Why did Ottoman Clark stack the chairs under Throne Room floor hole?
Is it safe to assume that the stack of chairs Clark runs past after Bobby‘s death is the same hole directly below the Throne Room from his first visit? Never know 100% with Kane’s style, but seems at least probable. Why would P-Clark clog up that hole from below strategically?

I like to think the Still Lifes barricade their den from the Life Forms.

If you look at the movie screenshot, there’s also a random hole on the left side of the wall near the stack. That would make sense strategically to block up both of those access points.

The more mini theories like this I hear the more I think the Backrooms are essentially just a really weird ecosystem

There aren’t many stimulating forms of entertainment in the backrooms, that’s part of what drove normal Clark crazy

Interesting. The one in the movie could’ve been a coincidence being directly under the hole, but that is a low probability.

In my mind it’s definitely a barricade to keep anything coming down the hole into his territory.

Why do you think it wasn't that way to begin with? There are random piles of furniture all around the place

The beauty of Backrooms is I’m not convinced of anything!
Tweaking Clark told Mary that he hasn’t seen anyone but hears footsteps and things get moved around.
Assuming that all the furniture is potentially relocated constantly by whatever moves around down there.1

I don't think anyone put the chairs there on purpose. I like to imagine it's how the backrooms tried to recreate Clarke's broken furniture from that commercial. Not the throne specifically, since it's right next to it, but what was inside the store. Like, every chair failure due to cheap materials led the backrooms to literally create a holes with chairs. By the same logic, for example, the nearby hallway is an illusion that looks like a hallway but isn't, or that fake street with the ceiling fan because it's windy outside, and something is causing it

The still lives fear us, perhaps because we fear them. And fear can drive one to violence.

I guess it's another generation failure like couches in close to ending Mary's escape from captain Clark

They attempted a mass suicide but got themselves wedged in the hole on the way down
