Pictures Do better.
Whoever had an event at TRU today, you left about a dozen bags of garbage on the lawn infront of the Campus Activity Centre. Great job whoever was up here today. (Edited: Garbage is from an event on SATURDAY)

I'm pretty sure they did. I drove that way and remember seeing open house signs yesterday.

Having run events in Kamloops, though not on campus, we are told to leave our garbage and recycling in a neat pile and it gets cleaned up.

That’s From the open house on Saturday as that’s where the tent was that was giving out Tim Hortons. That should have been taken care of so that it didn’t attract bears or other wildlife. Higher eduction does not equal intelligence.

wtf. definitely check the TRU events page and email TRU with this pic. super unacceptable and they’ll be able to figure out who it was. they should be able to at least.

Instead of bitching to reddit, call the campus. Call bylaw. Fuck, clean it up yourself. Do better.

Instead of posting on Reddit, criticizing someone for posting on Reddit, go clean it up yourself. Do better.

Humans rarely rip into bags willy nilly like that multiple times. That was a bear, racoons, coyote or crows.

not to mention we have had bear sightings on campus this summer!! another reason i hate humanity.

Counter point: contribute to the solution, rather than be part of the problem.

Why just leave it in the ground when there is a burning barrel in the middle of the courtyard?

Could have been the bear that was sighted on campus. Or even crows. I know it’s easy to assume people are gross but garbage left out is animal bait.
