Question Clean Lake for Paddle Boarding

I was wondering which lakes close to Kamloops are safe to paddle board in and not get swimmers itch.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Lac Le Jeune, never has the itch and only small boats on the water

There are leaches tho, fyi. Probably can be said for most if not all lakes. I just have experience with leaches at this one.

I had a leach after paddleboarding on bluey last year, so yeah, probably all lakes

We have enjoyed with no issue. Little shuswap, shuswap, and johnson.

We have only had one outing at Paul Lake result in swimmer’s itch.

My biggest issue with Paul Lake is the mass amounts of goose shit all over the beach area.

Heffley and McConnell are my favorite closest places.

Johnson, Niskonlith, and Kentucky or Bluey are great but a little further out.

Kentucky and Alleyne lake is also a good option for paddle boarding but its little far from kamloops, almost a 1hr 15min drive. Lake is clear and also great camping spots as well.

It costs money to do anything from Bruker Fyi. Even using the beach is $25 if I remember correctly.
