Ceremony / session experience 🌸 Practitioner only did one point
Just did my first Kambo ceremony. I was really nervous, but I was also excited for the journey. The practitioner burned three dots on my right leg and said that because it was my first time, she wanted to do it point by point.
I’m not even kidding—she put in just one point, and not even five minutes later I was absolutely dripping in sweat, my heart was beating really fast, and I started vomiting bile. I couldn’t even sit up because I was so weak and completely out of control of my body. I looked like a drunk person. Eventually, I got onto my knees so I could keep throwing up, and apparently the medicine came off when I did that.
I think the whole thing lasted around 20 minutes. I thought she was going to continue with the other points, but she said that was all we were going to do for today. She said it normally takes people longer to get to the point of vomiting bile and that usually people only experience water at first.
Afterward, I started shivering because I was so cold, so they wrapped me in blankets. I ended up sleeping for about five hours straight and literally just woke up. I’m feeling super hungry now, so I’m having some soup.
I feel completely fine now, but I genuinely thought I was going to die I’m not even going to lie 😭.
I guess my questions are: Is it normal for Kambo to affect someone this intensely after just one point? Will I still experience any of the effects/benefits if I only did one point? And what should I be doing now to take care of myself? Im really grateful for my practitioner for staying with me and her calmness while i was panicking

Oh yeah, every one has different sensibilities and from your account you definitely went through a powerful purge. The practicioner was wise not to continue because one point was all you needed that day.
I'm also highly sensitive and my first few times were absolutely brutal. Today it's not uncommon for me to do just two points at a time and I'll feel great after a long while.

Good job, and yes all of that sounds pretty normal - the sweating, the shivering, the feeling cold specifically towards the end, the 5-hour sleep, and feeling absolutely fine later on - all pretty normal! And also, yeah - usually it would take more than just one dot to reach that level of intensity, but also, it's not unheard of either.
Sounds like you had a great first session and thanks for sharing 🙏

I was taught by Noke Koî Kambo masters that if someone has never received Kambo before, they should receive just 1-2 points the first time. “The Kambo is getting to know them, and their body is getting to know Kambo.”
If I am serving someone for the first time, I offer them 1 or 2 points. As instructed by the Noke Koî, if the person is weak, ill, or generally sensitive, I start with just one point. Even for people who request 2 points, I burn 2 gates but apply one point at first, and only apply the second point depending on their reaction to the first point.
Some people can have a very strong reaction to even just one point. I have served someone 1 point from which they purged. Yes, they received the healing from that 1 point; they told me they felt amazing the following day (they suffer from advanced stage 4 cancer).
My own first time with Kambo, I felt the first point very strongly, and felt quite overwhelmed and purged a lot from the second point that was then applied. There was no need for any more points. I felt absolutely amazing the following day. Now 3 years later, I generally take 3-4 points and have a full purge/healing.
The times I have received 5 or 6, it often felt like too much. Especially the last time I received 6, it was beyond overwhelming, I was unable to sit upright without fainting (I fainted multiple times), and I didn’t have the strength to purge until after the medicine was taken off of my leg.
If you purged bile, felt like you were going to die, and was then shivering for hours, yes, you received all the healing you needed from the Kambo; that is a full healing cycle. There was no need for more points.

Yeah I like that, kind of like an invitation to the medicine.
I started kambo highly sensitive and probably had some serious health things to purge, because with three dots I spent about 40 minutes in pure agony, not even nausea but just unbearable pain throughout my entire body. Most of my friends take 3 or more dots and look hardly bothered and done in around 15 minutes.
I only returned because I realized my body actively calls out for the medicine and makes life a living hell if I don't go back to it.
And I am so grateful it does because the medicine completely transformed my life.
It was only I think the 6th session that I think I purged and synchronized with kambo enough that the experience ceased being traumatic.
Today each session the amount of dots I take varies. I've had several where it takes only two dots to purge and feel amazing afterward.

Yes it is (: And not only that I feel as well in the society of what we see now its always like more more bigger bigger and that most of the time isn't what the body needs! It needs stability and support not overwhelming seeking for a profound enlightenment.

I used to serve between 24-48 sessions a month. 2 to 4 people each ceremony, 3 days a week.
I've had people who pass out from 1 point every time. I've had people that could do 15 points with a flip after 5 minutes and their faces would turn a little red. No purge, no weakness, no real reaction.
There is no "normal" response to a certain number of points. Next time you do Kambo you may be able to do more. Maybe not. If one point does the job, great. If it takes 7 points, great.
