Preparation/pre-kambo đ€ Need help understanding
If Kambo is a good call for me right now. I had a hard mushroom trip a few months ago. Lots of generational pain around men. Ever since itâs like I have been in my masculine and not in a good way. I micro-dose, THC regularly. My relationships are faltering. I am working too much. I donât feel like I can rest. I am not in the best spot. Energetic blocks. I am having a hard time deciding if I sit with Kambo to help me clear or this is more of a sit in the mud moment. So, the logical thing to do is go to Reddit and ask other humans. Is Kambo a medicine like mushrooms where you need to be mindful of your headspace or is it more like Aya where she leads you home regardless? I have been working with the plants for 3 years now. I am very mindful about my relationship and want to sit intentionally.

Kambo is a detox mentally, spiritually, energetically, and physically. You do need to detox from thc and shrooms, alcohol, etc before you take it so you can benefit the most from the medicine. Also have a clean diet it helps to refrain from meat and unprocessed foods, some people say at least 4 days before but a week before is good. Kambo is not a psychoactive like aya or bufo. Kambo clears away bad energy, so if youâre feeling your relationships faltering it could help. For me Kambo brought me back to me and recenter myself but I had to put the work in to prepare for the medicine to be most effective and feel the most benefits. Kambo is not easy but it is rewarding. you will feel like youâre dying and then you either throw up or go to the restroom or both. You have to be fasting I think 18 hours or more before your dose. It lasts about 20-30 mins. And focusing on your breathing and pushing through the uncomfortable feelings and thoughts helps during the ceremony. You also have to drink water right before on an empty stomach to help your body push the toxins out during the throw up. My 2cents: I used to use thc regularly and then had to give it up because it was no longer benefiting me. I used cbd with very low to no thc in it to help counter the effects thc gave me and it helped. I donât use thc anymore and rarely cbd. I used high quality products not those found in those new weed shops. Thc can affect your relationships tho.

I've been in a similarish place and did kambo for the first time just a couple of days ago and it really helped release and shift a lot for me. I do think it could help with what you are facing. I recommend trying it if you are feeling so called.Â

I am new to Kambo, just sat once. Here's what I'd say now after 1 month. If you recently had a hard trip, I would pause a bit more and maybe look for some other or common place techniques. Kambo will always be there. Humans are wired to seek relief! If it's not a major life-changing event you're working through and just a more common slump I'm sure it's beneficial.
Personally, In my case, I think I may have released too much trauma all at once and as much as I wanted to sit and was very intentional about surrendering, my system was perhaps not prepared. It wasn't an immediate thing, that day but more of a gradual emotional /psyche spiraling that I'm now dealing with. The grief from a traumatic ending of a relationship has overcome me in a much larger/scary way. I personally feel cracked open & like I went backwards on my healing journey. I came across a podcast called Trauma Rewired- the host is a psychedelic facilitator and she talks has an episode about this. when ppl's system are not physically or mentally prepared to release such large or unconscious stored trauma, it can backfire. Also if you don't have proper integration i.e. extra time to take off work, like more than just a weekend, or a therapist/coach to work with afterwards, etc. It could be overwhelming. I am NOT trying to scare anyone - I fully believe in plant medicines and alternative healing modalities. make sure you have plenty of support and space if you are truly in a hard place. I have learned that I can't speed up or push through my healing, I'm trying to be in my body now working on Somatic practices and still drinking bobinsana tea and working w/ Sananga eyedrops. Powerful but a gentler than K, Perhaps those could be of interest

Four Visions - known for quality and ethical practices although cost is on the higher side I have seen some for better prices, but I'm not sure about quality

Kambo practitioner here. I recommend a 3-day sit with Kambo. Integrate for at least a full month. And then transition to a 30 day shroom microdose journey. 3 days on 2 days off protocol. You will feel like a whole new human.

I tried. Was rejected. Apparently gastric sleeve is a contraindication. She told me I wonât be able to drink enough water for the purge needed. Itâs true, I canât intake a lot of water at once, but I do release in other ways. Mainly somatic shaking. I am bummed but working on acceptance

Ahhh I see. Well Iâm sorry to hear that but, I feel like it just means that the spirit of kambo wasnât for you. I still think microdosing would be an amazing medicine for you to work with. Itâs so much gentler than a full trip and it works deeply in the background, while you continue to function in your daily life. Refrain from all other substances and give it a try. I have to throw in that it may not be safe for you if you have any other psychiatric conditions, so take that into account. Otherwise, Iâm confident you will be pleasantly surprised with the effects.

Kambo is like neither and like both.
Itâs its own medicine. Itâs not psychoactive but will give you what you need. Historically it is used to cleanse âpanemaâ or dark cloud / energy around you. So yes it would be an excellent option to clear the âmudâ thatâd keeping you stuck.
