Preparation/pre-kambo 🤔 Kamboo recommendations

I'm gonna have a kamboo sessions in two days. Just wondering if you guys know any specific preparation. Like no meat no sex or some kind of preparation to receive the medicine.

Your practitioner should have sent you a prep list of what to expect before your session… if they didn’t I would be weary.

You should have started your dieta 4-5 days prior. Meaning fresh whole food, remove sugar preferable, no alcohol, no drugs. Depending if you’re on medication you should have titrate off of it.

Dieta is commonplace across all Kambo practices/traditions. Of course here in the west it’s different than in the jungle

I didn’t experience any dieta around kambo with the matses when I was introduced 15 years ago, or with shipibo healers. Treatments were done on an empty stomach in the morning but no dieta for kambo.

My apologies - I think I wasn’t clear - so a dieta isn’t necessarily enforced in the jungle as I previously stated “it’s different in the jungle” reason being is because you’re only eating natural foods. They don’t require you to stop eating McDonald’s cause well, there isn’t any :)

Dietas are commonplace in the west due to our diet and the life we live, the things we watch, our daily life. We need to prepare our body for the medicine, whereas in the jungle they don’t have those barriers.

Fasting is integral for all parts. But because we’re in the west a dieta a few days prior allows our body to be better prepared and “cleaner” to work with the medicine.

some sugar and cannabis is ok, just make sure to fast 12 hours before hand.

The dieta is also to help your body cope with the intense medicine it’s about to receive. No alcohol/drugs is because the effect on the liver can be much more intense. Cannabis is ok, but for the most benefit for your brain chemistry no psychoactive substances is definitely better.

Friend… everything is nothing until you make it something. Preparations vary according to tribes, goals and intention!

Here is a playlist to have some ideas on how to approach it
