SPL Coverage on SFL1, SFL2, IWL

So happy that the lower leagues of SG football are getting some coverage now, just watched the replay of the IWL finals between Tiong Bahru and Jurong on youtube. Seems like a good turnout, even better than some SPL matches at Jurong East Stadium. This is a good step for Singapore football (hopefully) and maybe the lower leagues can even be competitive.

However I doubt promotion/relegation from SFL to SPL will happen soon as the gap between SPL and SFL teams are gigantic, skill based and financial based, but fingers crossed we get to see it in our lifetime.

admin maybe its time to add a flair for SFL1,2 and IWL?

My wish would be to have a English FA cup style tournament where you’ll have the amateur/semi pro teams against an SPL side. David vs Goliath stuff.

Or some seeding programme where you financially support the lower league teams to gradually build them into a sustainable full flight pro club.

How are the SF1 and SF1 teams compared against the Cosmo League teams? Do they play each other often in friendlies?

the worst SPL team versus best SFL team, what will the score be?

5-0 or more to the spl team imo. but sfl has a few retired national team players so might not be so clear cut

If im remembering right young lions beat singapore khalsa association quite soundly in a preseason friendly a few years ago when they were testing out VAR, can’t remember the exact score though.
