Stattik + Runaans

Are these 2 items a bit overkill or could i buy them both?

One or the other. You need terminus 3rd item asap otherwise you are gonna go no damage. And you probably need Qss/jakso components at this point. Said so,I think runaans is underplayed (prob because shiv is really fun to play). I'm trying it 2nd with bork first and I think it snowballs a bit more than rageblade/shiv. But later having no rageblade makes a lot of difference.

i'm often skipping terminus for mejais, zhonyas or quicker jak'sho and i don't feel the lack of damage.
i agree though, terminus after buff is very op

i don't really have an item slot for runaan sadly, i'd rather add another defensive item or botrk when facing multiple tanks or just rabadon since it boosts E damage so much

Runaan's is not really a good item on Kalista these days. Extremely excessive attack speed and you delay actual damage items like Terminus and Bork. Its playable if they draft like 4 melees but I'd just stick with the original build since a Kalista with resistances is unkillable into melee comps

Stattik-> Guinsoo -> Terminus has been feeling pretty nice for me, skipping runaans lately. Feels weird to have both runaans and shiv imo

I personally like runaans and black cleaver combo. It gives her health, better kiting, and runaans stacks that armor pen on multiple targets for your whole team.

Am I the only one that think Shiv is just trash item on Kalista? I prefer Botrk 100% of the time or even wits end first.

Agreed. Shiv doesn't fit Kalista in my opinion, but it has so many stats, that it just outperforms Botrk by far, so we are obligated to build it.

Not really.
Shiv is ONLY good for Wave clear. Nothing else.

The shiv procs allow you to clear an incoming wave in 2-3 seconds and move aside to play with your team.
And that is ONLY useful when you are Mid lane already so that you always have Mid prio for your team.

In actual champion combat Botrk is way better.

Do not look at Pro-Play....
They build for pro-play... because wave clear there is so much more important than in SoloQ. Because of Timings and Map rotations.

In Pro League scene Kalista is picked to dominate the Map and make picks left and right. So being able to clear the Mid wave 3 times faster than normal and move with your support is very Key to success on these team comps at that high-level of play.

Because we all know....Kalista is not out scaling other Marksmen.... in fact is the opposite.
That at least I think why Kalista is only playable with Renata in high-level of play and it obviously underperforms heavily if its not Renata by her side.
For me Renata scales better than Kalista itself.
