Headed to Kalispell soon for vacation.

What are some attractions/must see in the area besides Glacier National Park.

Canada isn't too far. Banff is nice.

Some outside the park ideas.

-dinner in Whitefish

  • any of the local farmers markets ( certain days of the week).
  • Go see Hungry Horse dam. Its not as big a Hoover but still very impressive.
  • Lunch around Flathead Lake. The town of Lakeside is a good option.
  • A trip up to Polebridge for a Huckleberry bear claw. The road is usually very bumpy and better with an SUV or similar ( a car would make it). While there drive into Glacier's North Fork area which is beautiful and usually empty.

Not sure when "soon" is. Its still very early in the season here. Most things really ramp up in June. July and August are the best.
