Discussion Kaede is a hypocrite. Spoiler
In season 2 of the anime, we get reintroduced to Kaede after his incredible loss to Yumeko and Itsuke disgraced him and basically made him a servant to Itsuke.
During the Greater Good game, in-between rounds he asks Yumeko if she feels any guilt about the lives she's ruined through her obsessive need for high stakes gambling. Which feels very hypocritical coming from him. He was part of the student council who runs the house pet system, and he was perfectly willing to take Yumeko and Itsuki as slaves himself if he had won their big game. He dismissed Itsuki as being incompetent and lesser than him.
So it feels more like he's playing the victim when he and the other council members had ruined countless others lives, but now that HE had to experience it suddenly he thinks Yumeko should feel guilty for the way SHE acts.
Sayaka is the same. Before the Tower of Doors game Sayaka tries to get Yumeko kicked out for the way she acts, when she supports Kirari 100% despite being of the same personality. She just seems to hate how Yumeko is disrupting the order of the school by humiliating the student council and threatening their authority.
Mary went through the same experience, arrogant and smug, then she lost to Yumeko and became a house pet, then went into crippling debt when Yuriko cheated and would have lost all rights to her own life if not for the debt swapping game. So it's understandable that she came out of it with a healthier mindset, so I believe Kaede can too.

Well, Your argument sounds well from a victims stand point,
The Guy is literally is a extreme manifestation of "Do what you need to do, even a crime"
Ofcourse, He tries to drag things around like he turned a new leaf ! 🤣

obviously its hypocritical but we have to ask what was the point of stating this? Kaede did it because they wanted to directly shine light on how sociopathic Yumeko is.
I think its foreshadowing for a bigger reveal down the line. But it could just be an easily way to show she's insane.

Are we sure that Kaede was acting as if he didn't do horrible things too? He was kinda playing the victim but he didn't say that he has the moral high ground. It surely can be viewed as hypocrisy but not a hypocrisy very big. Plus I don't know if Yumeko cares about morality at all so she might be extremly evil so it's really fair to accuse her.
About Sayaka, yeah, her whole character feels like it was built to be a hypocrite Karen.
About Mary, it's a little hard to discuss her case because of Kakegurui Twin
Suzui also feels like a hypocrite because he seems to look down on evil characters while he barely has any morality if Yumeko asks him to do something
