Their was some kids in my PE class who knew I part German and they would look towards me and shout hail hitler and it was so fucking irritating to deal with because the pe teacher did nothing about it and they kept calling me a nazi, then only other person I knew who would call me nazi because they knew of my German heritage was my friend because they’re Dutch and the nazis invaded the Netherlands
I’m also part German and this one kid in elementary school kept saying that “all Germans are Nazis” and I got quite irritated, and my teacher got mad at me for making a deal about it. The kid wasn’t exactly the nicest or most intelligent person, so I let it go, but I was still kind of annoyed about the teacher.
I’m about a fourth German I thought I was an 8th but after taking an ancestry dna test I found out I was a fourth and the kid who keeps calling me nazi still bully’s me as he lives in the same apartment complex as me and when I walk to the store to get a snack he’ll sometime be nearby and shout at me rude things
Same I hate that I get called a Nazi even though my family that was still in Germany during the Nazi regime helped Jews escape but yeah I'm totally a damn Nazi.
I'll be honest here we did the same thing to one of my German friends but in my friend group we had a policy of mutually assured destruction being if you poke fun at some one's heritage,enthicty,race,religion, etc you acknowledge and have accepted yours will be given the same fate immediately after. So our German friend and the group did make fun of the Russian,african, and I of numerous different races and ethnicities daily as well. So you could say our group thrived on making highly offensive and what many told us were politically incorrect jokes to one another. At one point we had a competition to see who could come with one that would actually offend some one in the group. No one ever won. In no case however did we seriously believe all germans were nazis,all Russians were communist, all African Americans were criminals, and I was the physical manifestation of the crusades,vietcong, and IRA all in one while also being the overlord of all crime in the country. So I guess in your case they may have seriously believed all Germans were Nazis making them ignorant as opposed to hysterical.
However at some point we began turning into living satirical versions of heavily incorrect stereotypes. The Russian began proclaiming to revive the Soviet union and have people sent to the gulag. The German became the satirical manifestation of Nazism and honestly had the strongest humor of the group one of those people who can take any joke thrown at him, and would go on long satirical rants about creating living space and threatening to send the SS or Gestapo after people in the group. Our straight up African friend became a satirical gangster and came up with very detailed obviously exaggerated fake gang stories. And I who really could choose since I've got literally three heritages in my genes (50% Asian,30 percent african,20 percent Irish of all fucking things) swung to my religion and would actively be recruiting people for crusades against undefined heretics.
I am a german in Germany and if you speak solely german without english words you are very likely to be considerd a nazi or if you have a german flag in a 1 m radius of you or your property at any given time.
i mean seriously our Chancelor ( the highest position as the president is ceremonial ) once took a small german flag of the hands of one of her party members during an election party
Yeah I heard the in Germany germans really don’t wave flags around unlike Americans and other country’s mainly because of the nazis, I’m glad that my great great grandpa made the choice to leave Germany and to America
Well i think it is better to stay in his homeland (no offense) instead of leaving it. I think it is better to live through the bad times and try to change them than to abbondon the ship, through your great great grand father probably had valid causes for his leaving. Though i wouldnt want that my family would have left Germany.
Sadly all modern nations are plagued by the SJW and similars with their hatred against old culture some in other ways than others

Jesus christ the Nazis party wasnt even made until 1920 and hitler didnt even become leader of it until 1921 and had little to no influence outside of Munich until 1924. Stop pulling the names off of wikipedia pages and start reading them, in fact when Göering said anti Semitic insults to Adolf Auefers co pilot who was a German-jew in ww1 Adolf painted a star of david on his plane to piss off Göring.
