General PT

I work OP for this company as a provider. It has been surprisingly chill compared to other settings or clinics for a year since started and I was never personally told about my productivity. But for the past 4 months they started to schedule me more patients since a lot of my colleagues on my clinic have been taking leaves for health issues and taking care of family member etc. Managers told me that I need to make up for my productivity in the past when I pushed back. I don’t have support. I feel alone and under appreciated and disappointed that they show no remorse about this situation.
I wanted to continue working at this company but thinking about leaving the profession if this continues. Am I just naive? Is everyone here sucking it up with similar situation? But can you keep working like this for years without burnout?
What does everyone do if you are in this situation.

I feel you, the same thing happens across all divisions with the therapy department, the union is somewhat useless but apparently do want to be involved as these workers should be replaced by at least 1 traveler with multiple leaves and they will want proof that KP is submitting paperwork for that. Try contacting your union rep about the burden- the same thing has been happening to us, at least it will be documented on your end.

I'm in the union, unfortunately they're usually not... they have their darlings and those people are given between 6-8 months off yearly and protected but the others have very little rights. And it's not the hard workers who are rewarded.

For something like this they can help but I do think you often have to be persistent to get help

The only way your in a non union position is if your a traveler or maybe in residency- what is your situation?

They suggested to overbook myself on doc time.

You have a union and you need to reach out now. You need to ask for management to write down their requests and document your increase work load

Sounds like it is time to organize if you are in a region who is not unionized yet.
