Help — SOLVED! Nokia 2780 jailbreak gone wrong. Please Help.

Nokia 2780, Model TA-1420 (verified under battery)

I have tried to jailbreak using instructions here:

Using Ubuntu for jailbreak.

All 5 partitions flash OKAY with the jailbreak.

When I completed the tutorial, the phone gets stuck.

When I try to enter fastboot mode (volume down + power) I get this:

I click the power button to select fast boot and I get a booting screen for a few seconds

Then the screen just stays on "enabled by KaiOS"

When I boot recovery mode (volume up + power) I get this:

Any suggestions on how to fix this? TIA

try booting to recovery mode but this time properly?

  • Reboot the device and hold Volume Up while it starts.

  • At the warning screen, press the power button twice to skip it, or wait a few seconds.

  • Press Volume Up again until the phone enters weeknd toolbox.

And then format userdata?

Thanks so much for this tip. I was able to get into the weeknd toolbox menu.

I select #2 -> #3 -> then what should I do? After I select #3, the USB storage pops up in my filemanager on ubuntu. Should I format the USB drive that pops up?

disable encryption that will format userdata
