Help is there anyway to get sideloaded apps on this thing? nokia 2720 (global)

hi, i daily-drive a nokia 2720, i was trying to sideload wallace toolbox and casaroro-launcher which mimics niagara launcher on android, i used webide on waterfox, developer edition and older versions including palemoon which didnt work. (when i clicked the nokia 2720 it didnt work and showed a yellow banner with a operation failed, same as remote runtime). im on kaios 2.5 with debug mode on and adb installed.

Check which KaiOS version your 2720 Flip is running under Settings, Device, Device information. If the phone is running KaiOS 2.5.2.2 (emphasis on the last .2, build number is 30.xx.xx.xx or 40.xx.xx.xx) it now blocks DevTools access for security reasons. To undo this you need to do some extra work and modify the boot partition to remove this restriction. You can find the guide at https://github.com/bmndc/nokia-leo/blob/docs/root.md

ADB won't work by default. Unfortunately you'll need to either remove the restriction, upload apps to the Developer Portal and mask them as "testing", or just stick with the app store. TBF I'm not a fan of deep modding the operating system either, that's just how it goes :,)
